European Commission Commissioner for Energy Dan Jorgensen will arrive in Azerbaijan tomorrow (April 4).

It was noted that he will participate in the 11th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council.

Cooperation in the field of renewable energy and methane emissions reduction will also play an important role in Jorgensen's visit to Azerbaijan. The Commissioner will also attend a meeting with the ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria to discuss the agreement on the green energy corridor. He will co-chair the EU-Azerbaijan business roundtable on the development of offshore wind energy in the Caspian Sea, together with Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.
