We believe that the Turkic world will continue to stand by Northern Cyprus.
Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"As Turkiye, it is our historical and human responsibility to defend the rights and interests of Turkish Cypriots on every platform. We are determined to fulfill this responsibility," Erdogan said.
It should be noted that before this, after the 12 billion euro agreement signed between Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan and the European Union, they recognized Southern Cyprus as the "only legitimate state on the island." The scandalous agreement, in which Turkiye was recognized as an "occupying state," was also interpreted as a blow to the efforts to promote the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus internationally.
