A group of servicemen of the Azerbaijani Navy (NAV) participated as observers in the KURTARAN-2025 underwater search and rescue exercises held in the Turkish city of Marmaris.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.

It was noted that, according to the plan of the exercise, the tasks of searching for the crashed submarine by search and rescue vessels with the help of special equipment and robots, transferring food and medical supplies to the sinking crew by rescue divers, and rescuing them with special equipment were carried out.

During the exercise, search and rescue measures were also carried out using helicopters and airplanes. Thus, parachute jumps were performed from aircraft into the sea, activities were carried out to drop necessary supplies to the crew of the crashed ship in need of help on the water, and the evacuation of victims was carried out.

The servicemen demonstrated high professionalism in the KURTARAN-2025 underwater search and rescue exercises.
