On April 30, another resettlement convoy from various cities and regions of the country was sent off to the village of Sarijali in the Aghdam district.
Axar.az reports, in this phase, 35 families (158 people) are being resettled in the village of Sarijali.
Of them, 16 families (82 people) are from Baku, 14 families (52 people) from Aghdam, 3 families (12 people) from Yevlakh, and 2 families (12 people) from the Aghjabadi district.
The resettled families are former internally displaced persons who had been temporarily living in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
With this stage of the resettlement process, the total number of people relocated to Sarijali village in the Aghdam district will reach 767 (184 families).
It should be noted that more than 40,000 people currently live in the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions. This includes not only former IDPs, but also those working on ongoing reconstruction and development projects, employees of local branches of various government agencies, and specialists in fields such as healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy.
