Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that Iran will meet with the UK, France, and Germany (E3) in Rome on Friday to revive strained relations amid ongoing nuclear tensions.

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that this meeting precedes a separate fourth round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, also in Italy.

Araghchi criticized the E3 for losing influence in the nuclear file but expressed readiness for dialogue.

Tensions are heightened as Iran exceeds limits of the 2015 nuclear deal, which the U.S. abandoned in 2018 under President Trump. France warned of renewed sanctions if no progress is made. Meanwhile, the U.S. has imposed fresh sanctions on entities linked to Iran’s missile program, which Araqchi said undermines diplomatic efforts.
