Turkiye has granted permission for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plane to pass through its airspace during his expected visit to Azerbaijan in May.
Axar.az informs this was reported by the "Azerbaijani-Israeli Alliance Global News."
"This represents a small but symbolic success of the Azerbaijani mediation between Israel and Turkiye, aimed at reducing the escalation between them," the publication notes.
It was also noted that, previously, in November 2024, Turkiye effectively blocked Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s participation in the COP29 summit in Baku by denying permission for his aircraft.
