Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the participants of the 51st session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Istanbul on the situation in the South Caucasus in the post-conflict period.

Axar.az reports that speaking at the meeting, the minister spoke about the reconstruction process in the liberated territories and Azerbaijan's peace efforts in the post-conflict period.

Speaking about the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan, the minister emphasized that the territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Armenian constitution are an obstacle to signing a final peace agreement.

According to J. Bayramov, another challenge on the path to peace is Armenia's unwillingness to agree to the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, a remnant of the past conflict.
