Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.

During the call, they discussed the current security situation stemming from the Israel-Iran conflict.
The parties expressed serious concern about the security situation in the region caused by the Israel-Iran conflict and emphasized the importance of resolving the conflict through diplomatic means. Azerbaijan’s significant role in evacuating foreign nationals, including citizens of European Union member states, from Iran was appreciated.
The two also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
