Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the foreign ministry has said in a statement.
Axar.az reports according to the two sides discussed the situation in the region, including developments related to Iran, and exchanged views on efforts to ensure regional stability.
In the context of humanitarian concerns, they discussed the possibility of evacuating third-country nationals from Iran through the territory of Armenia.
Foreign Minister Mirzoyan and the EU High Representative also addressed recent developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The sides further exchanged views on the agenda of upcoming contacts within the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation.
