On April 30, China’s State Council Information Office released a white paper titled "Covid-19 Prevention, Control and Origins Tracing: China's Actions and Stance."

Axar.az, citing Xinhua, reports that the document outlines China’s efforts to trace the virus’s origins, its international cooperation during the pandemic, and criticism of the U.S. response.

It claims China worked transparently with the WHO, ruled out Wuhan as the virus's natural origin, and dismissed the lab-leak theory as “extremely unlikely.”

The paper highlights China’s contributions to global health and accuses the U.S. of politicizing the virus origins, calling for investigations into the possibility that COVID-19 may have emerged in the U.S. before being identified in China.
