Istanbul quake damage: 3,000 buildings

The number of buildings damaged by the earthquake in Istanbul has approached 3,000.

Axar.az informs that Murat Kurum, the Minister of Urban Planning and Environment of Turkiye, reported this.

“We inspected 25,017 buildings, of which 2,928 suffered minor damage, and the rest were not damaged,” the minister wrote.

Kurum added that the assessment of the damage is currently ongoing.

Recall that on April 23, a series of earthquakes occurred in Istanbul. The strongest one had a magnitude of 6.2.
