Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has granted the country’s armed forces the authority to independently decide on response measures against Pakistan following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Axar.az reports citing the Times of India.

This decision was made during a meeting with the military leadership. Modi described the move as part of India’s sovereign right.

It was also noted that a meeting of the Security Council will be held on April 30 amid rising tensions between the two countries.

The terrorist attack, which took place on April 22, claimed the lives of 26 people.
