U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that the war in Ukraine is unlikely to end soon and emphasized that only Russia and Ukraine can reach a resolution.

Axar.az, citing BBC, reports that after a U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal, Vance suggested the U.S. should help both sides find "middle ground," while defending Trump's stance on the conflict.

Trump recently hinted Ukraine might concede Crimea, a notion opposed by President Zelensky.

Meanwhile, fighting continues despite Russia’s proposed three-day ceasefire for WWII commemorations. Ukraine instead called for a 30-day truce. Recent drone attacks have resulted in injuries and casualties on both sides.
