Tensions between India and Pakistan are escalating following a deadly April 22 attack in Indian Kashmir that killed 26 Hindu tourists.

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that India accuses Pakistan of involvement, which Islamabad denies while warning of potential Indian military action.

In response, Pakistan conducted two missile tests within three days, while India ordered civil defense drills in several states. Both countries have closed borders, halted trade, and suspended airspace access.

Moody’s warns the standoff could derail Pakistan’s economic recovery and fiscal reforms. Meanwhile, global powers, including Russia, are urging restraint, and Pakistan plans to raise the issue at the UN Security Council.
