The Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad railway line should be made operational.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He said that Turkiye and Pakistan will continue to take steps to increase their mutual trade volume to five billion dollars.

The Turkish leader noted that they will make efforts to develop cooperation between the two countries in all areas.

Erdogan also noted that he appreciated Pakistan's position on Palestine and that Turkiye is trying to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza as soon as possible.

The leaders also discussed other issues of mutual interest.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yashar Guler, National Intelligence Organization Chief İbrahim Kalın, Head of the Presidential Press Service Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Chagatay Kılıch, and Land Forces Commander Selchuk Bayraktaroglu also attended.
