US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the UK agreed in a phone call to set the end of August as the deadline for reaching a nuclear deal with Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing foreign media.

“If an agreement is not reached by this deadline, the three European countries plan to trigger the ‘immediate return’ mechanism for UN Security Council sanctions lifted under the 2015 Iran deal. The Europeans intend to start talks with Iran soon and are trying to convince Tehran to avoid sanctions. But for this, Iran must take steps to prove that its nuclear program is peaceful,” the source said.
