UK, Australia sign 50-year submarine deal

The UK and Australia have signed a 50-year bilateral partnership agreement to build and operate nuclear submarines.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement by the UK Ministry of Defence.

It is noted that the agreement was signed by Defence Secretary John Healy and his Australian counterpart Richard Marles.

The agreement is based on a trilateral partnership between the governments of Australia, the UK, and the US.
