Qatar Airways and UAE-based Etihad Airways have temporarily suspended flights to several Saudi Arabian cities for security reasons.

Axar.az reports, citing foreign media, that according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to Riyadh and Dammam.

Etihad Airways has cancelled flights between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh until October 19. The airline has also suspended some flights to Jeddah and Dammam for several days.

It should be noted that Yemen’s Houthi rebels continue to launch attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
