To reduce the White House's tariffs from 30% to 15%, the European Commission (EC) has promised to completely replace Russian oil and gas with US LNG, oil, oil products, and nuclear fuel, worth $750 billion.

Axar.az reports that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said this after she met with US President Donald Trump.

"The agreement includes the EU purchasing large volumes of LNG and nuclear fuel from the US, while completely abandoning Russian gas and oil," she said.

According to Leyen, EU countries still buy a lot of Russian gas, and Russian oil products come to the EU through the "back door".

She expressed the opinion that the EU no longer wants Russian resources and noted that US LNG is better.

It should be noted that an agreement was reached on a trade agreement between the US and the EU at the meeting.
