A telephone conversation was held between Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, and Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that during the telephone conversation, H. Hajiyev expressed his condolences to the other party regarding the deaths of those killed during the Israeli-Iranian tensions.

The parties also emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations and implementing the agreements reached by the presidents of the two countries.

In addition, the planned visit of Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, to Azerbaijan was discussed.
