When thinking about victory, you need to be ready to be alone, because your victory may not always be beneficial to your allies.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, the country's ambassador to the UK.

Zaluzhnyi believes that there are no miracles in war; its course occurs only according to certain laws:

“Some laws have existed for thousands of years, and some are emerging just now. Only these laws affect the course of the war. Sometimes you have to pay a high price to understand this. Not knowing these laws does not protect a person from defeat.”
