Azerbaijan's successful use of unmanned aerial vehicles during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has attracted the attention of military leaders around the world and accelerated the transition to cheaper and simpler air defence systems.
Axar.az reports that the Washington Times published an article about it.
According to the article, after the conflict, Western countries, especially the United Kingdom, announced that their strategies for using drones will soon change.
"Flagships TB2, which played a role in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, have proved themselves in terms of targeting and destroying the enemy. In addition to providing identification information, TB2 is also equipped with "smart" munitions that provide micro-direction to destroy targets independently.
"Azerbaijan has also effectively used high-quality cameras installed in TB2," the report said.
According to the publication, military experts have concluded that unmanned aerial vehicles have changed the rules of the game and did not give Armenia a choice.
