Hormuz to remain closed until US meets deal terms

The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States meets the terms of its interim agreement with Iran, including lifting the maritime blockade and oil sanctions, releasing frozen Iranian assets and ending military threats and operations on all fronts.

Axar.az informs, citing Iran International, that Iran’s top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made the remarks on Tuesday.

Ghalibaf, who is also Iran’s parliament speaker, also warned that internal disputes would weaken the country and encourage foreign adversaries.

He also said that Iran’s adversaries were seeking to foment unrest and combine it with military operations, assassinations and separatist activities.
