ARTHOUSE magazine writes on Aida Mahmudova

Monaco-based famous ARTHOUSE magazine has published an article about talented young Azerbaijani artist Aida Mahmudova.

The article features works by the young artist.

It says that Aida Mahmudova graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London. “Aida Mahmudova is the author of a number of installations, sculptures, photos and paintings.”

"Aida Mahmudova's each work is made almost with an elegant sense of nostalgia to her hometown Baku. A theme of the constantly changing city in front of the eyes also occupies a place among the creative works of the artist," the article says.

Hailing Aida Mahmudova's rich experience, the article says that the artist's works were demonstrated at the 56th Venice Biennale as part of the VITA VITALE group exhibition.

The article says that the talented artist's sculptural installations and paintings have been shown at international exhibitions, including Here Today in London, Love Me, Love Me Not at the 55th Venice Biennale; Fly To Baku, London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Rome, and Merging Bridges at the Museum of Modern Art, Baku, Azerbaijan.

The article underlines that Aida Mahmudova is the Founder and Creative Director of YARAT, which “promotes the national art both in Azerbaijan and internationally”.
