Azerbaijan to increase number of checkpoints

Most checkpoints on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border is not currently operating.

Deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Bagirov told reporters: "We are trying to resume their activities."

Sh.Bagirov added that the SCC is negotiating with neighboring countries on the creation of new points and improvement of activities of the existing customs check points: "Also discussion of the transition of customs checkpoints on the 24-hour operation is underway."
