Azerbaijan increased export potential of its agro-industry

As many as 2,000 tractors will be manufactured in Azerbaijan by late 2016, says Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusyi.

He made the remarks at the 22nd Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition and the 10th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition in Baku May 19.

The capacity of jointly manufacturing the agriculture equipment in Azerbaijan will significantly increase in the future, added Rusyi.

"Azerbaijan has significantly increased the competitive strength and export potential of its agro-industry over the past years," he said. "As a result, a new sector - agricultural machine building - has emerged in the country."
