Kadyrov won the elections with 99.7% of the vote

Ramzan Kadyrov, the candidate for the leadership of Chechnya from the United Russia Party, won the election with 99.7 per cent of the vote.

The statement came from the Central Election Commission of Russia.

It was stated that all ballots have already been counted.

Other candidates - Isa Hajimuradov (Fair Russia - For the Truth) - 0.15%, Khalid Nakayev (Communist Party) - 0.12%.
