As a result of the successful continuation of the political line defined by our national leader Heydar Aliyev, today the attention and care for war veterans and the families of martyrs has been identified as the main direction of social policy.

Axar.az reports that, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov pay special attention to war veterans and strengthen the social protection of war veterans. By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 25, 2020, a reserve sergeant Hasanov Aftandil Mammad oglu, a resident of Ashagi Dasharkh village of Sharur region, who was wounded and disabled while preventing an enemy attack on our defense positions in 1996, was awarded the Medal for Military Service.

The Commander of the Special Forces, Colonel-General Karam Mustafayev praised Hasanov Aftandil Mammad oglu for his special services, service duties and protection of our territorial integrity. He noted that he was awarded for excellence in performing the assigned tasks.

Colonel-General Karam Mustafayev stressed that consistent measures are being taken in the Autonomous Republic to improve the welfare of servicemen, war veterans and the families of martyrs. This is the assessment of our state to the activities of people who duly fulfill their duties to the Motherland and show an example of patriotism.

Aftandil Hasanov, who was awarded the Medal for Military Service, thanked for the care provided and described it as a comprehensive state care for those who have served the Motherland and the people.
