Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to our country, Husameddin Effat Mustafa Reza.

Axar.az reports that Ambassador Husameddin Reza presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

J. Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his activities.

The meeting discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt, as well as the regional and international situation.

The importance of friendly relations between leaders, mutual visits at the highest levels, the activities of the intergovernmental commission, as well as the political consultation mechanism in the development of cooperation between the two countries, was noted.

Cooperation issues within the framework of regional and international organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement, were discussed.

The cooperation between our countries during our country's hosting and chairmanship of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was recalled with satisfaction.

The Minister also informed the other party in detail about the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, the large-scale reconstruction and reconstruction work carried out in the liberated territories.

The parties also discussed the security situation in the Middle East.

The Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with serving as Egypt's ambassador to Azerbaijan and expressed his willingness to make every effort to develop bilateral relations and cooperation during his tenure.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
