The explosion in Doha, the capital of Qatar, was an assassination attempt against Hamas officials.

According to the Israeli army, the targeted individuals have been in the Hamas leadership for many years and are directly responsible for organizing the October 7 massacre, as well as for managing the war against Israel.

It was reported that the entire Hamas leadership, including Khaled Meshaal, Musa Abu Marzouk, Hussam Badran, Razi Hamad, Zahir Jabarin, Khalil al-Haya, and Muhammad Darwish, was at the headquarters at the time of the explosion.

According to the Al-Hadath publication, the Hamas leader in Gaza, the head of the movement's overseas office, and the commander of the radical units in the West Bank were killed.

Members of the Hamas Political Bureau, including the head of the negotiating delegation and the leader of the movement in the Gaza Strip, Khalil al-Hayya, survived the explosion in Doha.

Hamas has denied reports that those killed in the Israeli strike on Doha were members of the negotiating delegation.

This was stated in a statement by the group.

"Six people were killed in the Israeli strike on Doha, including Khalil al-Hayya, the son of the Hamas leader in Gaza.

The Israeli strike will not force Hamas to change its position in the negotiations, but it proves that Netanyahu does not want peace," it said.
