The third trilateral meeting of the Republic of Armenia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of India at the level of regional directors-general of the foreign ministries of the three countries was held on September 8, 2025 hosted by Tehran.
Axar.az informs, citing Armenian media, the three parties expressed satisfaction with the regular and annual holding of the trilateral meeting, reviewed the progress achieved as a result of decisions made at the first meeting hosted in Yerevan in April 2023 and the second meeting hosted in New Delhi in December 2024. They further emphasized fulfillment of the goals set for the said meetings in order to secure mutual interests and promote prosperity and welfare in the region.
The three sides at this meeting emphasized expanding and deepening cooperation, especially in the fields of connectivity, the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), and the Armenian “Crossroads of Peace” project, utilizing the strategic position of the Chabahar port in this regard. The parties also reviewed and stressed initiatives aimed at further developing relations in economic, trade, culture, people to people relations and other areas of mutual interest.
By mutual agreement, it was decided that the next trilateral meeting will be held next year in Armenia on a mutually convenient date to the three parties.
