Azerbaijani FM meets Pope Leo XIV in Vatican

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Pope Leo XIV during his official visit to the Vatican.

Axar.az reports that the Foreign Minister wrote about this on his X account.

He noted that Azerbaijan and the Holy See have strong relations that are important for promoting interfaith dialogue and multiculturalism:

"I attended a general audience with Pope Leo XIV and was honored to meet with him.

The relations between the two countries serve as an example for interfaith dialogue, which is the cornerstone of Azerbaijan's state policy."
