Rishi Sunak joins Ukraine’s Economic Advisory Council

Rishi Sunak has taken on an unpaid role as a member of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s International Advisory Council for the Economic Renewal of Ukraine.

Axar.az, citing Independent, reports that documents released on Friday confirmed Sunak’s appointment to the council, which provides expert guidance to the Ukrainian government.

He attended the council’s inaugural meeting on Thursday alongside other international leaders and business representatives to discuss Ukraine’s economic prospects.

Sunak highlighted the importance of a robust Ukrainian economy, expressing confidence in the country’s potential to emerge as a dynamic European economic power.

This advisory position adds to Sunak’s post-premiership portfolio, which includes roles with companies, academic institutions, and a charitable organization.
