Azerbaijan, Iran Foreign Ministers hold phone call

A phone conversation was held between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.

Axar.az reports, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), during the call, the regional situation and bilateral relations were discussed.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the importance of Iran completing investigations as committed following the drone attacks from Iranian territory on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

In general, the ministers emphasized the need to avoid targeting civilian sites during the ongoing conflict, the importance of quickly ending military escalation in the region, and the preference for resolving existing challenges through dialogue.

The ministers also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
