Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is making an important contribution to advancing diplomatic solutions to international conflicts, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini said during a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha.

Axar.az informs, citing Rеport, according to Pellegrini, security and peace are of particular importance to the Slovak Republic.

"Therefore, I would like to commend all the efforts of President Aliyev and Azerbaijan aimed at finding diplomatic solutions in the current tense international situation – be it the war between Russia and Ukraine or the complex situation in the Middle East," Pellegrini said.

He emphasized that European countries need to pay more attention to diplomatic conflict resolution.
