Azerbaijani fuel strengthens Armenia's energy security

Gasoline and diesel fuel supplied from Azerbaijan have made a significant contribution to Armenia's energy security.

Axar.az inform, citing Repоrt, that a correspondent, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was speaking at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.

According to the head of state, the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, the initialing of a peace agreement, and the signing of a Joint Declaration at the White House with the participation of US President Donald Trump effectively brought an end to the conflict that had lasted more than 30 years.

"Immediately following this agreement, Azerbaijan took practical steps. The gasoline and diesel fuel supplied by Azerbaijan to Armenia today make a significant contribution to Armenia's energy security. This is especially true given the numerous problems currently associated with the export and import of petroleum products, for various reasons. The transit of cargo to Armenia through Azerbaijan has become widespread. To date, more than 40,000 tons of cargo have passed through Azerbaijan," the head of state added.
