Azerbaijan's newly appointed ambassador to Uzbekistan, Rashad Mammadov, has presented his credentials to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Axar.az reports, citing the press service of the Uzbek president, that the credentials ceremony has taken place.

It should be noted that Rashad Mammadov was recalled from his post as Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkiye just four days ago and appointed ambassador to Uzbekistan.

The swift acceptance of the ambassador's credentials by the leader of the brotherly country is seen as a sign of Uzbekistan's special regard for Azerbaijan.
