Akram Imaoglu's victory is based on several principles. But the most important of them is the support of Istanbul people.

Political expert who prognosed Yildirim to win the election, K.Pasayev told this to Axar.az during his comment on the victory of Ekrem Imamoglu.

The expert said that Kurds played a significant role in the victory of Imamoglu:

"After the cancellation of the March 31 elections, not only the people of Istanbul, but also all of Turkey, considered the defeat of Imamoglu as a defeat of democracy in the country.

One of the main factors in the victory of Imamoglu was the support of the Kurds. Terrorist Abdullah Ocalan, in fact, advised the Kurdish population to remain neutral in the election. However, HDP Chairman Selahattin Demirdaş, gave instructions to the Kurds to vote for the CHP. In fact, this is a good indicator. Indication that the HDP is no longer dependent on the PKK terrorist organization".

K.Pashayev said that Imamoglu defeated not only Binali Yildirim but also Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The loss of Istanbul for the AKP will have serious consequences for the ruling party. The AKP should now compete with the CHP in all its plans regarding Istanbul. Turkey will have renewed administration by 2023. If in the upcoming years Imamoglu will succeed in his duty and protect nation's love toward him, he will be the new President of the Republic of Turkey".
