Armenia is alone and without support - Bryza

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) does not support the subversive activities of Armenia or any other state.

Axar.az reports that, former US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza told.

He said that the CSTO is a defense military alliance:

"In my opinion, the CSTO will not play any role in any scenario if Armenia is not attacked. Because the CSTO is a military alliance of a defensive nature, where each member state is obliged to come to the aid of any member state that is under attack. If Armenia launches any military operations, the CSTO will not participate in this issue. Russia, like other members of the CSTO, does not support the provocative activities of Armenia or any other state. Armenia is alone and without support.

Bryza noted that the Armenian government makes very provocative statements not only about "Karabakh is Armenia", but also about possible military operations against Azerbaijan:

"This, of course, contradicts Armenia's international commitments within the OSCE Minsk Group. This is just a sign of frustration on the part of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. On September 19, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev responded sharply to Pashkina's provocative statements. Russian media published President Ilham Aliyev's statements, but did not publish the response of the Armenian side, which is unusual. I think that Russia agrees that Armenia's steps are unacceptable and that it is out of the negotiations today."
