On the night of June 26, specialists from the Unmanned Systems Department of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense carried out a strike on the Belbek airbase in occupied Crimea, destroying a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet.

Axar.az reports that HUR press service shared the information on Facebook today.

According to the statement, the special operations forces also destroyed an airfield launch system in the same strike while it was servicing the Russian combat aircraft.

The intelligence agency said the damage inflicted on the Russian military is estimated to amount to tens of millions of dollars.

The HUR also released exclusive footage of the strike.
