The official Twitter accounts of the French and Canadian Foreign Ministries praise the release of three Armenian prisoners by Azerbaijan as a positive step and call for the release of other Armenian prisoners. We would like to remind you that this is not the first humane step taken by Azerbaijan, our country handed over the Armenian captives to the other side even during the military operations.

Axar.az reports this statement came from Leyla Abdullayeva, head of the Foreign Ministry's press service, in response to the call of the French and Canadian Foreign Ministries for the release of Armenian prisoners.

Armenia has not yet provided information about nearly 4,000 Azerbaijanis who went missing during the 1991-94 war.
