Statements about the functioning of the "government-in-exile" of the unrecognized "DGR" in Armenia are a threat to national security, official Yerevan does not recognize such a structure.
Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at the government meeting.
"Some circles that have moved from Karabakh knowingly or unknowingly take actions and steps that threaten the national security of the Republic of Armenia, they declare that some authorities are in exile. I want to state very clearly that there is a government in the Republic of Armenia and that government is also sitting in this hall. This message is very clear: if necessary, appropriate steps should be taken to prevent foreign forces from using certain circles to create threats to Armenia's national security. I want to state clearly that there can be no other government in Armenia except the government of the Republic of Armenia. If someone identifies himself as the government in Armenia, it is a matter of national security. This is not a simple statement, but a clear message, and this message should be expressed in real life," said Pashinyan.
It should be noted that the former leader of the Karabakh separatists, Samvel Shahramanyan, said in an interview with the French publication "Le Figaro" that the exiled "Karabakh government" continues to operate in Yerevan.
