It is very good news that Azerbaijan will increase the interest rate in the energy sector, especially in the field of wind and solar energy, until 2030.

Axar.az reports that the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, said this at a joint press conference with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Berlin on April 26.

"We can discuss issues related to climate policy together. We can formulate new climate goals until 2035. We have allocated 6 billion from the budget for climate financing, we have mobilized 10 billion euros in total. We must also mobilize the private sector on the climate issue. At COP29, in this direction I am sure that we will reach certain agreements," he said.

O. Scholtz thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his fight against climate change.

"I am sure that we will deepen our cooperation," the German Chancellor stressed.
