We have every right to take everything that is happening in Armenia very seriously. However, we do not interfere in their internal affairs or relations with other countries far away. We never interfere in the internal affairs of any country, and all our neighbours know this. But this is a matter of our national security.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the international forum on "COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan".

"We cannot sit quietly and wait, seeing how France, India and Greece armed Armenia against us and did it openly and demonstratively as if trying to prove something to us. We cannot just sit and wait and we express this position to the government of Armenia and to those who want to take care of Armenia now. If we see a serious threat against us, we will have to take serious measures. Some of them are dangerous, and some are not, but this is not so important, these weapons are delivered to Armenia. Therefore, my message to Armenia using this platform again is that you should not do it. Again, my message should not be taken as an arrogant warning. No. No matter what they do, I will not interfere. This is their life and their country. But when they show military force against us, sometimes they concentrate their troops on our border, we cannot sit quietly. It is our safety and we have a right to be concerned. Therefore, my message to them and to those who want to use them as an outpost against Azerbaijan is, don't do it. No matter how many weapons are sent to Armenia, they have no chance against us. The second Karabakh War also demonstrated this. "For 44 days, we went to the mountains where ordinary people could not go for a walk, and we did it with light weapons and destroyed their army," said Ilham Aliyev.
