The authorities in Armenia are preparing to return the village of Karki to Azerbaijan.
Axar.az informs that the 'Fakt' website reported on this.
The website notes that the Cadastre Committee of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia is registering the Armenians living in this village under 'temporary registration.'
Recently, the Cadastre Committee of the Ministry of Justice issued legal registration certificates to the residents of Kirants (the village of Tavush). The statement reads: 'It should be noted that the registration of the respective rights is based on inaccurate information. Therefore, these registrations cannot be used as a legal basis to claim that these areas are part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.'"
This essentially justifies the handover of these areas to Azerbaijan. Experts believe that the authorities may use a similar approach to justify the transfer of other areas to Azerbaijan in the future. Considering that Nikol Pashinyan declared that the villages of 'Tigranashen (Karki) and Tavush' are not part of Armenia's 29,800 square kilometers (later noted as 29,743), then the Cadastre Committee issued the same certificates to the residents of Tigranashen (Karki) based on 'inaccurate information.'
"In the next stage of demarcation, the residents here will be told that your documents are not valid, leave your homes," the website writes."
