Abdulamir al-Shammari and Syed Hussain Naqvi, the interior ministers of Iraq and Pakistan, met on Monday, July 14, in Tehran with Eskandar Momeni, the interior minister of Masoud Pezeshkian’s government.

Axar.az reports that Iranian media reported that this meeting took place within the framework of the “Arbaeen Hosseini Conference” in Tehran.

During the 12-day war, Israel used Iraqi airspace to strike targets in Iran, which provoked a strong reaction from Baghdad. However, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stated that the country lacks an air defense system to prevent violations of its airspace.

Pakistan defended the Islamic Republic politically and propagandistically during the 12-day war, but the country’s government and parliament emphasized that, contrary to claims by Mohsen Rezaei, they would provide no military assistance to Iran’s government.
