Russia supports the joint decision by Azerbaijan and Armenia to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group.

Axar.az informs, citing RBC, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich said that the group is expected to be fully disbanded by December 2025.

According to him, this involves ending the work of three institutions — the Minsk Group itself, the post of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Personal Representative, and the High-Level Planning Group.

According to Lukashevich, if no objections are raised by September 1, the decision will be considered adopted.

“At the same time, it should be taken into account that implementing the related administrative and financial measures will take several months. The OSCE expects to complete them no later than December of this year,” the Russian envoy explained.
