The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has started at the Independence Palace in Astana under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan.

For the first time, the organization's forum will be held in the format of the meeting of the Council of Heads of the SCO member states and the "SCO Plus" meeting.

During the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State, the Astana Declaration, 20 resolutions, 3 statements of the heads of state, including the initiative "On world unity for the sake of fair peace, harmony and development" and "On improvement of the SCO" will be adopted.

The heads of state and government of Kazakhstan, India, Iran, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Qatar, UAE, Turkiye and Turkmenistan, as well as the Secretary of the SCO, are participating in the event.
