On July 12, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad.

Axar.az reports that at the meeting, satisfaction was expressed at the high level of political relations between our countries. The constant support of Pakistan and Azerbaijan, especially Pakistan's political support to our country during the thirty-year occupation of our land, Azerbaijan's defense of the right and fair position, and its adherence to the principles of international law were highly appreciated.

At present, it was emphasized that there is a good potential for further expansion of economic and commercial relations between our countries.

President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29.

The head of our state invited the President of Pakistan to COP29.

During the conversation, the issues of further expansion of economic and commercial relations and investment cooperation between our countries were discussed.

At the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
