The German authorities have decided to expel Mohammad Hadi Mufatteh, the former leader of the Islamic Center in Hamburg, which was banned.

Axar.az reports that the DPA news agency, citing the Hamburg Interior Department, released this information.

According to the report, the department has decided this week to expel Mufatteh from the country. He has been given 14 days to leave Germany. Additionally, the cleric is banned from re-entering Germany or staying in the country; otherwise, he faces up to three years in prison.

It should be noted that Mufatteh led the Islamic Center in Hamburg since 2018 and was considered the official representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Germany.
